Ps Clinton and Leah Phillips planted Jubilee World Harvest Church in the year 2000.
There must be another way?
The heartbeat for Jubilee started in September 1999 while Ps Clinton sat at the bedside of his son Who was in Hospital suffering from pneumococcal meningitis. The miraculous power of God spared and restored Jeremy's complete health.
During the recovery, God planted the seed of Jubilee in Ps Clinton who began to pray for people in hospital and asking God - "who's reaching out to these people, with hope, love, peace and healing that God offers".
Ps Clinton & his wife Leah had spent 10 years leading youth, involved in worship and other areas of leadership within their home church - but still the prayer remained "God there must be another way?".
The opportunity arose for them by praying regularly with a young married couple. The prayer night grew and other people joined causing Jubilee to start. In June 2000 Jubilee World Harvest Church was launched. The name of the Church states the reason it exists. While the name may seem long compared to other churches, God insisted that your purpose is declared by the name.
My call is conditional
The first five years saw marginal growth. Throughout this time God shaped and tested Ps Clinton's faithfulness to the call over his life, while difficult Ps Clinton stayed faithful and proved the stats wrong that only 5% of churches planted the way Jubilee started, actually survive.
Through the journey, God has touched many with the church consistings of many first generation Christians. People have found a place where they are loved, belong and experience freedom.
Currently the Church experiences rapid growth causing Jubilee to search for a facility to cope with the growth.
